Advancement and Traditions

Its quite amazing to see that people follow different traditions even during this day and age, even though a lot has changed in a human being's life from the time they were immature and uncivilized. If we actually see the actual truth of a human being we can still say that immaturity is still a part of human beings but education and literacy have helped us to cope in such a way that we highly use it in the world. But the immaturity and unethical means ways are still seen in our society in ways of corruption. I really do not want to sit down and talk about corruption over here because that argument will just waste our time and we won't be able to come to a conclusion. I want to discuss the real change in man over many years.

However you want to think, god or science......man was on earth unable to assess, predict its capabilities but achieved so much greatness over the years and are still achieving. Now achieving something in life or success in other words in any human being's life means helping himself/herself or the ones they love to achieve happiness. Mahatma Gandhi worked on helping the Indian people achieve freedom and happiness, that was the success and achievement of Mahatma Gandhi. Yuri Gagarin of Russia was the first ever man to enter outer space which was the success and achievement of the whole human race to send a man into outer space and his own achievement. Now that you are thinking about it there are tons of more human achievements you must be thinking about regarding excellence and success in technology, arts, politics, business, strategy warfare and more. Thus the people of the world made those days special and memorable over the years. Thus, it brings back to my point where traditions, customs are made where people follow cause that is what you believe cause you might have seen or follow it over the years through your elders.

These customs, traditions may not be in favor of all the people around you and there would be many to oppose you. So are they wrong in opposing you? Well, they are neither right nor wrong. Neither they know about your belief nor do you know about their belief. They do not know why you believe in such things cause they have not felt or seen what you have seen. As it's always said "seeing is believing". We should remember that all these traditions and customs of ours are not made by god or science but by us human beings according to what we believe in and is dear to us. But I want to know today the bloodshed and violence....is it necessary due to these few traditions and customs we have built around us and show the world. People have disintegrated and want to have their own stand and status in the world showing how great they are with these customs and traditions. If because of these traditions, customs and differences people are differentiated and brought into different levels then the people who think have created society are not that great at all.

Over centuries these traditions and customs are made. We have festivals like Christmas, Diwali,  Holi, Hanukkah, Eid and many more which will all have a story behind it that why we celebrate these festivals. Other customs within each religion are also carried out to depict a certain value of that action or what it means to those people. This all comes down to what you believe and what you think off. Now to show your appreciation of being a friend you could take the day you became friends with your best friend and give your friend gifts or hang out or way your friend enjoys the most. It all comes down to how much priority and importance would you give to an event. For a mad man, all festivals and holidays would be the same day he was cured and declared sane. He would never even care about his birthday or any other event.

For now, the only thing we can say is that advancement has made life easier, but people balance their traditions and beliefs also with this. Traditions and customs are made on beliefs and will always be made over time which will only matter to those who have felt or seen what they believe in, in any form. Your beliefs are about something amazing and unbelievable you wish and desire about.
