Exploring Intelligence

Waking up to a morning coffee starts to make you think and wonder of the world's stand and your stand in the world. Having things up in the open on not knowing what you will be doing today makes you wonder regarding the unpredictability which is very scary. Though for that matter it is something that we are all programmed with when we are born as overcoming, unpredictability builds us up emotionally and psychologically. As babies, we explore our body which is our body parts such as legs and hands. Slowly we start exploring the immediate vicinity and thus kids make a mess to explore things around the house. As we grow we start exploring the community, state, nation, country, region, and world. During the whole process, there is one constant that we as primitive beings are awed, surprised and amazed by things around the world and try to formulate our own understanding of the things and processes in the world. Creation becomes the spark that creates the fire of curiosity and keeps you warm.

But a fire nonetheless, right? Yes. Creation of any variables are a boon to the process or its environment but if not controlled can be a wildfire. Try imagining real hard to your earliest memory as a baby or a kid, of a particular toy car, teddy bear, your mom's particular dish, etc. There is something that stands out linked to one of your senses. That is what makes that very special as you can't find anything like that. Yet as we grow we explore and experience more. Why? Cause that's what humans are. We wish to stretch the boundaries of knowledge and experiences.

Taking an example, artificial intelligence is a huge upcoming thing these days where a man-made system can go beyond a human's imagination. But a human has to imagine beyond human imagination which is a paradox. Humans are driven by the unpredictability but if things are predictable we lose interest. Artificial intelligence created by the brilliant minds to me can only be a supercomputer to take decisions at the end of the day with our past, present and future predictability based on facts. But can it bring in emotions, maybe not? The minute emotions are brought in, behavior changes and things are much more unpredictable. Something, we can't as human beings control but always try to. The main issue does not lie on emotions it lies on the information. But the problem is we are still and always will be in the phase to acquire more information which makes it a paradox again. For example, as a kid, you are very happy your father bought you the top of the line bike for your 5th birthday. Adding more information to the context your mother is a bit sad that your father bought you the bike as it very expensive and the family has been trying to pay off debts and meet everyday needs. The kid is happy but the mother is not that much even though it's her kid and a default response of emotion should be joy and happiness. Adding further information to the same context the kid's grandfather is very happy and content as he sees the joy of his grandson and understands that after all the struggle in life the only thing that matters is your loved ones who will be near you when the only thing you are looking forward to is your decline in health and eventual death and all the other steps that you had taken to reach where you are do not matter anymore.

The issue does not lie in the needs to explore as that's a human tendency. The issue lies in the fact that we have a tough time eventually to keep up with unpredictability, as our bodies reach their ultimate peak and start depreciating. By the time a human is able to create what they wish to, they have created a mess in other variables. Its always a saying that it's tough to handle married life, family and your own personal development as we are surrounded by multiple variables that we wish to know about. For example, imagine a small kid playing with food to his/her imagination's content thinking nothing matters but their imagination. But for the parent, the mess created by the kid becomes a big issue and upsetting. The kid not having the information of things needing to be cleaned up as they start to rot and eventually attracting dirt and dust leading to germs and thus sickness makes it tough for them to behave in a proper manner.

A food-for-thought to end this is that magnitude of variables need to be taken to complicate things making issues more and more tough to solve. To make things solvable we need to keep issues simple as possible with very few variables. Is that possible to carry out when we love to compete and there is always another person to add an additional variable and get more precise results?

Simplicity
